Developmental Venous Anomaly (DVA) is a congenital malformation of veins which drain normal brain. It is usually a subtle finding ans is best seen on SWI sequences. Isolated DVAs have a low complication rate and are best left alone, but thrombosis of the vein can lead to infarct / hemorrhagic transformation.
