DIAGNOSIS

 

SEQUENCES SHOWS CAPSULAR DISTENSION WITH JOINT FLUID FOCAL ROUND TO OVAL SHAPED SMALL  HYPOINTENSE  FOCI ARE SEEN IN THE JOINT CAVITY ( LOOSE BODIES )

 

DIAGNOSIS: Synovial Osteochondromatosis

DISCUSSION: Uncommon benign disorder

Metaplastic proliferation of multiple cartilaginous nodules in synovial membranes of Joints , bursae, tendon sheaths.

Invariably monoarticular

Men >Women

3rd to 5th decade

Knee preferentially involved followed by hip , shoulder, elbow
